Repurposed frames, scraps of timber, dolly pegs and recycled materials have all became a vehicle for Glenn Morgan’s commentary on things personal, political and global. Glenn presents himself in a no frills manner with frank dialogue that is loaded with humour. He makes comments on the human condition in a simple, straight and to the point manner. Most of his works include crank handles that articulate part of the painting/ sculpture and require the viewer to participate . His choice of titles leave little doubt what the paintings are really a comment on…. e.g “Say sorry Johnny” “back stabbers” “Back Man’s Prison” but he still often includes speech bubbles so people can better understand. Enthusiastic and entertaining Glenn Morgan’s work is refreshingly quirky, honest and unpretentious.
