McClelland Sculpture Park

An absolute favourite place of mine to visit is McClelland Sculpture Park, the land was bequeathed by Annie May McClelland (poet and entrepreneur) to honour her brother artist and philanthropist Harry. Set amongst 16 hectares of natural bushland and operated by a board of trustees since it opened in 1971.

It is the only gallery dedicated to sculpture and spatial practice in Australia. It champions the unique value of Australian culture and its connection to the environment.

Three guilds and community groups studios are also located on the grounds.

What a vision the McClellands had, and what a legacy to leave us !
